Diane Ladd, Known For Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Passes Away at Age 89.

The star, whose filmography spanned Chinatown, left this world in her residence at her Ojai, California home. This announcement was shared in a statement by her daughter, Oscar-winning actor her daughter Laura Dern.

Her daughter, who appeared with Diane Ladd in a number of films including Rambling Rose, described her as “my amazing hero plus my profound gift of a mother”, stating that she was by her side as she died.

“She was the most wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, actress, artist and empathetic spirit that only dreams could have seemingly created,” she expressed. “We were lucky to have her. She is now with the angels.”
